Our Cancellation Policy:

  1. If there is a cancellation two months before the check-in date, we will refund the amount paid, less a $50 processing/cancellation fee.
  2. If there is a cancellation after two months before the check-in date and we are able to re-book all or a portion of these dates, we refund the amount paid or the portion recovered, less a $50 processing/cancellation fee.
  3. If there is a cancellation after the required 2 months notification and we are unable to re-book any of the canceled dates, then there is no refund.
  4. If there is a crisis, such as a death or bad weather affecting safe travel, we refund all amount paid, less a $50 processing/cancellation fee.

(When all of our suites are reserved during certain dates, we advertise “no availability” on our online calendars, so our requests stop coming in for those dates.  After a cancellation, we make the dates available again on our online calendars, and try diligently to rebook the suite for those dates.)

 Pets are not allowed.

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. or after and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.  An earlier check-in or later check-out time must be approved ahead of time.

Do not bring more people than are shown on your reservation invoice.  Children are people, too.

HOT TUB INSTRUCTIONS:  Thank you for showering thoroughly before entering the hot tub, removing all lotions, oils and perfumes.  IMPORTANT! ~ How to open the hot tub lid:  Before entering the tub, fold half of the lid OVER THE BAR towards the east (this bar is not a handle!), and then enter the tub.  GENTLY lift up on the folded lid as it pivots on the bar to the open position.  There is no talking in the hot tub during quiet hours.

STRICT QUIET HOURS: In consideration of our other guests and neighbors, quiet hours are between 10:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.

Cooking crab inside the suites is not allowed.  An outdoor crab cooker is available upon request.  If this policy is violated, there may be additional cleaning cost incurred.

Before checking out, please wash dishes, turn off appliances, pile used linens (leave bed-cover on bed), take out garbage, and replace key.

By the Waves is a “cannabis-free” facilityLaw:  Under Oregon’s Smoke-free Workplace Law, smoking, of any kind (including smoking/vaporizing marijuana (cannabis) medical or recreational), is prohibited in public places.  Public place means any enclosed area open to the public, and prohibiting smoking within 10 feet of entrances, exits, windows that open, and ventilation intakes of workplaces or public places.  There will be a minimum fine of $250 for anyone who breaks this law or policy at By the Waves.
